When Flowers Bloom
Haiku Series (Part Three—Peonies)
ivory-feathered plumes
nestle, tucked in foliage
preening peonies

awakening blooms
intricacies unfolding
secrets held within

tightly balled, raindrops
glisten silver, awaiting
petals’ opening

Every flower knows
when it is her time to bloom—
and today is yours.
Peonies pack so much beauty from their buds to the opening of their ruffled, sprawling petals. Watching them unfold is a joy to behold. I hope you find joy in my photos and haiku!
Thank you for reading my poetry and supporting my work!

Such a beautiful tribute to such a lovely flower!
