When Flowers Bloom
Photo Haiku Series (Part Five--Lilies)
raindrops on lilies
soft, sleek yellow streaks of light
sunshine returning
Light, in its varied forms, offers warmth, beauty, solace, and hope. It appears often in my poetry, and it is a central image in several of these haiku. I hope you enjoy the way light enters these poems and photographs, and I hope its warmth finds you.
golden sunlight falls
like a kiss upon a cheek
petals blushed with peach
luminescent pinks
brilliant sunrise-painted hues
promises unfold
fire-orange tongues
flickering embers of light
warmth, tenderly wrapped
buttery yellow
luscious scent of decadence
red velvet layers
